Regardless, I copied the 64 bit dll for Kontakt (there are actually three different ones depending on how many stereo buses one wants) to my folder I use for DLLs for Sibelius 7. So it might have been the update of Kontakt that was needed. So I may have been using 32 bit dlls, but I think I still was using 64 bit dlls that I have in a separate 64 bit dll folder for Kontakt. Here is what I think worked- the update reminded me where the 64 bit DLLs went- not where I expected! They went toĬ:\Program Files\Common Files\Steinberg\VST2\īecause I have Cubase 5 on my system. I used the NI Service Center to update my Kontakt 4 player, just to be safe, and also updated the Factory Library Content may not have been necessary. Yeah! Sweet sounding instrument packages now available through Kontakt. I actually just got the Kontakt 4 (version 4.2.3) VST.
